Bydgoszcz and its surroundings were chosen for new realization centers because of their proximity to Polish customers and other nearby realization points. The region also has a high labor potential and proximity to other Zalando sites in Poland, which will allow seamless coordination of projects.
"The investment in and around Bydgoszcz will allow us to expand our European logistics network and support the growth of our Zalando Lounge, which has become popular with customers at our sites, particularly in Poland. For the first time, we will have two sites in the same city, which is unique for our logistics network and will give us the opportunity to unlock new potential and create successful collaborative teams for even greater convenience for our customers," says Martin Rost, Senior Vice President Offprice at Zalando.
Along with the construction of new facilities, additional investments are planned in cooperation with the local government, including infrastructure renovations and new roads near Zalando facilities.
